NRI GmbH presents Hammer Run Obstacle Race

BLOG piccOn August 5, 2017, Natural Resource Innovations GmbH is bringing the military and the German community together for the most challenging obstacle run in Germany! NRI is hosting the HAMMER RUN, an obstacle run in Hirschau, Germany at Monte Kaolino. This fun but grueling event is not only an unforgettable experience, but it will raise funds for FLIKA, a non-profit organization, supporting sick children and their families. The proceeds from the Hammer Run will help FLIKA to further their activities, facilities and care for sick children, as well as the emotional support for the children of FLIKA and their families.

The obstacle race consists of an 18 km Challenge Run and a 7 km Fun Run. We’ve created an unforgettable obstacle run, starting the race off with the famous Monte Kaolino climb. Whether you’re an elite athlete or just beginning the challenge, you’ll conquer over 25 world-class obstacles. You’ll be rewarded with a finisher medal, a Hammer Run T-Shirt, and bragging rights to last until next year’s race.

It doesn’t stop there! Head to the post-race beach party to dance to live music, eat and drink typical Bavarian food and beer, and celebrate your decision to defeat the MONTE!

Photos and videos of the activities from the previous years can be found on the Hammer Run Facebook page:

NRI is excited and honored to host this event, and looking forward to the competition, wipe outs and after-party!

And don’t worry, there are still spots open to join the challenge! Sign up on our website today at

We are also still looking for volunteers to help organize the best race day possible. If you are interested in joining the Hammer Run team, please email Lori Spingola @ or sign up here on our Doodle Sheet:

We hope to see you there!
